(Fort Lauderdale, Florida) On December 13, 2004, Digital Media Network, Inc. (DMNI), a global consulting and e-business firm announced the expansion of its operations to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Providing visionary guidance, international expertise, state-of-the-art-technology and innovative business consulting services to clients around the world, DMNI has been a market leader since its founding in 1994.
DMNI is still led by its original founders, Mr. Bernhard Schutte and Mr. Thomas Bernthaler. Raised and educated in South Africa, DMNI CEO Bernhard Schutte operated several companies in Europe and Asia before co-founding DMNI and moving operations to the United States. Mr. Bernthaler, a technology prodigy, serves as Chief Technology Officer. For more than a decade, their creative thinking and passion for solving business challenges have benefited clients all over the world, including:
South African Airways, the US Department of Commerce, District Export Council, Sun International, Fonterra Cooperative Group, New Zealand Milk, SkyTruck and Alpine Engineering
Having identified Malaysia as a hub to the Southeast Asian market, Mr. Schutte began researching ways to bring DMNI’s international success in business consulting to the region. In November 2004, he traveled to Malaysia with a team of European-based DMNI managers to accomplish this objective.
The mission was successful and DMNI has entered the Asian market with the acquisition of Kuala Lumpur-based business consulting firm Electronic Business Management. A full-service business consulting firm with expertise in business and technical development, public relations and value added introductions, EBM specializes in establishing corporate partnerships and government relations between firms across Asia, Europe and the United States.
The expansion follows more than a decade of successful business-to-business engagements in the American and European markets. DMNI, which provides international and domestic business consulting and technology services, currently has offices in Fort Lauderdale, USA, Nice, France and Munich, Germany.
“With this expansion, we will bring a unique global expertise in international business consulting and e-commerce to Southeast Asia,” commented Mr. Schutte. “We have an innovative and culturally sensitive team of visionaries and business consultants who can work with the unique needs of the Southeast Asian market. The market is a perfect fit for our specialized international business expertise.”
“EBM is quickly becoming a powerful resource in helping companies grow and navigate their business,” Mr. Schutte explains. “They work with governments and firms ranging from new companies just starting out to established firms, all over the world. They are a perfect partner for DMNI.”
Following the acquisition, Mr. Schutte was honored to announce the appointment of YB Rosnah Majid as a partner and the CEO of the new venture. Rosnah Majid is a respected and proven leader of great integrity. She spent twenty years as a distinguished journalist and then served four years as the State Minister of Kedah.
“Rosnah is a visionary leader with strong contacts in the corporate and government arenas,” noted Mr. Schutte. “She has contributed greatly to the industry - both was a well known journalist being awarded the Nieman Fellowship by the Harvard University and as a government leader.. Her extensive experience adds tremendous value to our clients, and she will be essential to making us the premier international business consultant firm in Southeast Asia.”
